Winches
A winch is a piece of equipment very similar in construction and function to hoists. However, they differ in design. In the case of hoists, the casing of the lifting mechanism is its supporting structure. Winches, on the other hand, have the mechanism assembly mounted on a separate supporting structure, which may be a fixed, sliding or travelling frame.
Manufacturer of long-life winches
Winches can have a separate drum with a lifting drive in the form of a geared motor combined with a motor. This solution gives the possibility to rotate the elements and pull the rope at a greater angle. This solution is more expensive, but more practical and has a much longer service life. The estimated service life of such a winch is 20-40 years with maintenance conditions in accordance with the device's DTR.
Construction and operation of the winch
The winch consists of a main gearbox, equipped with two or three reduction stages, connected to an asynchronous motor of the compact type. The free shaft is connected to the drum by a keyway, precisely machined. Proper winding of the rope is ensured by a stacker. Braking is provided by an electro-hydraulic buckle brake. Vertical travel is limited by a rotary limit switch mounted on the drum axis. All winches are equipped with an overload limiter in accordance with the Machinery Directive. Travel of the trolley is performed by a drive unit in the form of a (geared) motor directly entering the wheel shaft. All motors are of the self-locking type and feature protection class IP54 and insulation class F.
Wire rope hoist
The wire rope hoist is a key mechanism used in cranes, responsible for lifting and lowering loads. It is a device in which a steel cable is wound around a drum driven by a motorised mechanism (or manually in simpler versions).

Hoist and winch for every crane
The hoist and winch are some of the most important components of an overhead crane, responsible for lifting and lowering loads. The hoist, usually with a chain or rope, is used in cranes with smaller lifting capacities, while the winch, which operates with a wire rope, is used in cranes with higher lifting capacities. Both devices ensure the precise and safe movement of loads, making them key components in any crane.
